Diptyque, Jo Malone and l’Artisan Parfumeur offer up some bucolic promenades.
The Bloomsbury Set, a group of artists and intellectuals working in the early 20th century provide inspiration for an eponymous collection of five limited edition perfumes, three of which evoke the charms of an English garden. Artemisia, orriswood and leather, amber and cypriol… the olfactive translation of a fleeting impression of a garden is captured by ‘Leather & Artemisia’. Ylang-ylang, white musk, vanilla and waterlilies at daybreak are used for ‘Garden Lilies’, while ‘Blue Hyacinth’ is composed of garden geraniums and woody vetiver combined with the scent of blue hyacinth after the rain. Leather & Artemisia, Garden Lilies, Blue Hyacinth, Eaux de Cologne, from The Bloomsbury Set, JO MALONE.
