Vanessa Seward spring-summer 2016 show
In her second runway show, Vanessa Seward expands on the vision she set forth last March.
The designer seeks unity in eclecticism, presenting silhouettes of a charming versatility. She elegantly mixes styles and materials while conserving the bourgeois charm for which she is known. Everywhere the audacity of the seventies is palpable, particularly in the long suits in suede or ethnic prints; the jabots, fringes, spangles and flared pants shout disco fever. Less concerned with “tailoring” than last Fall, Vanessa Seward has enlarged her vocabulary of classic or laced Safari jackets, pleated dresses and T-shirts with slogans. A sort of ideal dressing room that brilliantly combines past, present and future.
