Staz Lindes, Hedi Slimane’s latest inspiration and the new muse of Saint Laurent Paris

Meet the young Staz Lindes, guitarist for the Californian rock group The Paranoyds, photographed with her brother Misha for Hedi Slimane.

We all fell under the charm of the young Staz Lindes, the confident California-blonde, when she took the runway alongside Ruth Bell, Lili Sumner and Grace Hartzel for Saint Laurent Paris last October. Staz Lindes perfectly incarnated the destructive glamor of the rock princesses who fill music festivals, and to whom the Spring-Summer 2016 show paid homage.

The guitarist from the rock group The Paranoyds seduces us even more today than she did when we first discovered her, photographed by Hedi Slimane in the company of her brother Misha, singer in the group SadGirl. If, since his arrival at the head of Saint Laurent Paris, the designer has reintroduced a rock energy on the runways, his love for this musical scene can also be felt in his timeless, black-and-white photographs. Images which the design director publishes regularly in his personal diary. It is hardly shocking that Hedi Slimane, as interested in rock’s legendary figures as he is in young underground prodigies, has chosen the kids Staz and Misha Lindes… the children of none other than the guitarist of Dire Straits.

Songs by SadGirl’s Misha Lindes are available on the group’s SoundCloud site.
