Accessorised with braided headbands, ribbons and strips of cloth, every model in the 2017-2018 resort show sported hairstyles that echoed those in vogue in Ancient Greece. In terms of eyes, the brows highlighted in brown evoked the mummy portraits of Fayum’s Roman Egypt. The eye make-up drew inspiration from the kohled lines of Cleopatra with the help of an elongated line in black pencil and eye-liner (Stylo Yeux Noir Waterproof 88 Noir Intense and Ligne graphique by Chanel, 10 Noir-Noir). Adding a dash of mystery, the eyelids were haloed with a subtly bronzed sandy-hued shadow (Ombre Première 28 sable). You’ll have to wait until the month of June to get your hands on this new shadow presented at the heart of the Ombre Premièrecollection conceived by Lucia Pica and including 24 colours.
