« For Spring-Summer 2017 fashion show, I wanted the create the aesthetic of a synthetic type of girl... with a slight genetic mutation effect at the roots of her hair, but also quite natural, integrated with subtlety to capillary material. I wanted to give this neon, melted colored lights effect, more like veils than textured colours that we can find in the work of artists like James Turell or Pierre Huyghe. Paul Hanlon designed the hair style for the show and used a blue shade for brunettes, fushia shade for redheads or blondes. He treated colours like reflects, on very sharp and clean drawned back hair, that leave a cleared face to accentuate the artificial bias. We worked on the same type of make-up with the tights ; the shades were responding each others, like onds, from the hair to the legs ». Julien Dossena, artistic director of Paco Rabanne.
