Louis Vuitton pays tribute to the youth in a fall-winter 2022-2023 show at the Musée d’Orsay
For the first time ever, the Musée d’Orsay in Paris opened its doors to the fashion sphere to host Louis Vuitton fall-winter 2022-2023 runway show. This season, Nicolas Ghesquière pays tribute to the rebellious youth with oversized silhouettes. Baggies are made with corduroy and thick wool and worn with bomber jackets, blazers with spectacularly large shoulders, or XXL shirts. When they’re not designed after polos, the little dresses remind us of schoolgirls’ pinafores. Along with floral patterns from the 70s, black and white photographs taken by David Sims are printed on several pieces, while large stripes inspire grungy looks.
