In just four collections, the designer at Sies Marjan, Sander Lak has caught everyone’s attention with his bright colours inspired as much by the Dunkin’ Donut logo as the films of Fassbinder. A Dutch graduate of ArtEZ in Antwerp, and Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design in London, the young designer cut his teeth on fashion design at Dries van Noten. So, his impressive mastery of the cut, his sets of fabrics, sometimes matte, sometimes luminescent and his daring choice of tonalities, all come as no surprise.
