From the actress Golshifteh Farahani to writer Negar Azimi, Acne Studios celebrates the Middle East with a series of sublime portraits taken by the great Paolo Roversi for its spring-summer 2017 campaign.

Fatima Al Qadiri


Journalist, fine artist, curator and musician, originally from Kuwait, Fatima Al Qadiri uses various media to approach themes that range from police brutality to people uprisings. Her latest LP “Brute” is awash with mystical electro imbued with powerful beats that deals with the concept of authority, its abuse and downward spirals.

Golshifté Farahani


Daughter of actor and director Behzad Farahani, the magnetic Golshifté Farahani has worked with the biggest names in the business from Christophe Honoré to Ridley Scott. Exiled by the Iranian authorities following her role in “Body of Lies” in which she appeared without a headscarf, the actress oscillates between Hollywood and France, between blockbusters and indie films punctuated with stage plays such as Gaëtan Vassart’s sublime adaptation of Anna Karenina.

Hayv Kahraman is an Iraqi artist living in Los Angeles. Using drawing, painting and sculpture, she portrays the realities of submission suffered by woman in her homeland. Her stories and experiences are translated in paint and exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in London and the Third Line Gallery in Dubai.

Negar Azimi


Head of the cultural magazine “Bidoun”, named Best International Magazine by the Independant press awards, Negar Azimi uncovers the artistic avant-garde of the Middle East. For “Bidoun”, she regularly collaborates with talented folk such as MIA and serious writers like Ohran Pamuk.

Sadaf H. Nava is a New York performance artist born in Iran. A big name at the “Performa” biennale, the young artist puts music at the heart of her creations with sounds that trip between Parisian trap, Ghanaian dance-hall and Angolan kuduro.

Yasmina Benabdelkrim


Yasmina Benabdelkrim is a fashion stylist trained at the Paris Chambre Syndicale de la Couture. After having fine-honed her talents alongside designer Diane Von Furstenberg, she became a stylist for different fashion and music personnalities and styled the model Mayka Merino and the artist Petite Meller, she also assisted the famous American stylist Patti wilson.
