Moncler Gamme Rouge spring-summer 2016 show
At the end of this Parisian week, Giambattista Valli devoted himself to the mythical young girls in bloom at Moncler Gamme Rouge.
As if reminiscing over Jane Austen novels, this heroine goes walking across Yorkshire, bearing the symbols of Georgian England: lace, floral embroidery, rising necklines, Empire line waists, peplums… In love with freedom, she abandons maxi-lengths for skirts just above the knee, some of them cut from a deliberately transparent chiffon. An equestrian inspiration blends with this gentle, naïve attire. Immaculate riding hats, horse whips, zip-up bodies and ski-pants all point to gallivanting escapades.
