Saturated colours, grandiose sets and anachronistic music, for the H&M x Erdem collection, Baz Luhrmann has directed The Secret Life of Flowers, a video that’s similar in vibe to Moulin Rouge, The Great Gatsby and The Get Down.
Set in a beautiful aristocratic country pile invaded with flowers Tom Rhys Harries, Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Ruby Dagnall are caught up in a love triangle, one of the Australian director’s fetish themes.
“I wanted this short film to be like a real film. It’s about a very modern love story that takes place in a country house full of secrets. It’s a bit like a metaphor for our times. The world outside is hard, but inside this house things continue to unfold beyond the limits of time. You get the impression that spring never ends,” explains Baz Luhrmann.
