Mercredi 14 septembre 2022, Michael Kors présentait dans le quartier de West Village à New York une collection printemps-été 2023 très jet set tandis qu'au premier rang, l'actrice Anne Hathaway faisait sensation.

Cette année 2022 aura été celle où Anne Hathaway s’est imposée comme une icône de mode. L’actrice qui s’est fait connaitre grâce à la comédie Disney Princesse malgré elle (2001) avant d’obtenir un oscar pour son rôle de Fantine dans Les Misérables (2012) et d’enfiler la même année la combinaison en cuir de Catwoman dans The Dark Knight Rises de Christopher Nolan a illuminé le festival de Cannes 2022 de sa beauté classique alors qu’elle défendait le film Armaggedon Time de James Gray. Depuis devenue égérie du joaillier italien Bulgari et amie de la maison de couture Valentino, Anne Hathaway a rejoint le club des stars dont chaque apparition enflamme les réseaux sociaux.

Et si le monde entier se passionne aujourd’hui pour ses looks toujours plus élégants, c’est qu’en 2006 l’actrice américaine devient l’assistante maladroite et débrayée d’une grande rédactrice-en-chef d’un magazine de mode, incarnée par Meryl Streep dans Le Diable s’habille en Prada (2006). Quinze ans plus tard la fiction rattrape la réalité et Anne Hathaway se retrouve aux côtés de la célèbre Anna Wintour du Vogue US (qui a inspiré le film) au défilé Michael Kors printemps-été 2023. Coiffée d’une frange et vêtue d’un manteau en cuir façon croco chocolat, d’une jupe assortie et d’un col roulé noir, la voici redevenue le temps d’une matinée Andrea Sachs, jeune diplômée en journalisme qui regarde avec ironie cette futile industrie qu’est la mode.

Sur le podium, le créateur américain ne déçoit pas avec une collection très jet-set décontractée dans le plus pur style américain, présentée sur des reprises acoustiques de La Isla Bonita de Madonna et Killing Me Softly des Fugees et dans un décor verdoyant. Des vestes légèrement oversized portés sur des jupes portefeuilles à frange, des caftans légers, des robes longues sensuelles et des costumes affutés sont ornés de bijoux sculpturaux dorés et déclinés dans des noirs et blancs graphiques, un rouge incendiaire et un vert citron lumineux. Idéal aussi bien pour arpenter le bitume new-yorkais que pour se promener dans sa station balnéaire fétiche, ce vestiaire glamour célèbre la rencontre entre la ville et la nature.
