Après un défilé exceptionnel à Central Park en mars dernier qui célébrait le 50^ème anniversaire de son label, l'icône de la mode américaine Ralph Lauren nous emmène en Californie du Sud où il présente les collections printemps-été 2023 de ses différentes lignes Ralph Lauren Collection, Purple Label, Double RL et Polo Ralph Lauren. "J'ai toujours été inspiré par la beauté naturelle, le patrimoine et le glamour de la côte ouest américaine. La Californie a toujours été une terre de rêves et de contradictions - des côtes sauvages et des tapis rouges. Pour la toute première fois, j'apporte mon rêve de vivre ici, en partageant mes univers dans un événement qui célèbre un mode de vie auquel j'ai toujours cru - un mélange de courage et de glamour, d'énergie et d'inspiration", confie le créateur américain. À travers une centaine de silhouettes, incarnés par un casting inclusif, Ralph Lauren retrace ici le style de la côte ouest, habile mélange de sportswear, références western, looks preppy et sophistication décontractée.

Suite au défilé, les invités – parmi lesquels le couple Jennifer Lopez et Ben Affleck, les actrices Jessica Chastaing, Robin Wright, Laura Dern, Lily Collins et Diane Keaton ou encore le chanteur John Legend, et les acteurs Chris Pine, James Marsden, Angus Cloud, Cole Sprouse, Sylvester Stallone – se sont réunis à la Huntington Library, du Musée d’Art des Jardins Botaniques de San Marino pour un diner aux chandelles dont le menu américain reprend les plats préférés de Mr. Lauren au Polo Bar de New York.
