Rencontre avec Facetasm, nouveau visage du streetwear japonais

Le label japonais Facetasm est le nouveau visage d’un streetwear d’avant-garde mêlant luxe, tailoring et références pop culture. Nous avons rencontré son créateur Hiromichi Ochiai à la suite de son défilé évènement printemps-été 2018.

Dans la même veine que Koché et Y-Project, Facetasm participe au renouveau du streetwear contemporain. En imposant la silhouette 90’s et unisexe, aux proportions détournées et fortement inspirée des “Six d’Anvers”, Hiromichi Ochiai tente d’insuffler une liberté de création Tokyoïte à ses collections : “Nous sommes plus libres de créer à Tokyo. Les influences culturelles sont si nombreuses qu’il n’y a pas de tabou.” En créant Facetasm, dont le nom constitue un jeu de mot avec le terme anglais “facet”, il s’agit ainsi de dévoiler toutes les facettes possibles d’une même pièce et de troubler le regard du public. Teddy XXL avec patch reproduisant La Cène de Leonard de Vinci, tartan vert fluo ou encore usage de matière techwear, le label repousse les grands codes de l’esthétique street. “Nous changeons radicalement d’identité chaque saison. Voilà l’ADN de Facetasm, sans cesse expérimenter de nouvelles visions.” conclut le créateur.
